Rev. Ronald Prather and his wife Thelma have pastored Abundant Life Since October 1987, when they were elected by unanimous vote to be the shepherd. He and his wife were married in January of 1970 and have 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters. They lived in Marquette Michigan for a brief time when he served in the military at K.I. Sawyer AFB. He was the first military convert under the ministry of Pastor A. Deeds who pastored in Marquette at that time. He is a graduate with a BA in Apostolic Studies from Apostolic Bible Institute.

They began their ministry during that time where Thelma served as President of ABI Wives. The Lord called them to be evangelists in 1976 and they traveled full-time serving in 26 states fulfilling their ministry until their appointment as Pastor Thelma assists her husband as First Lady and Ladies ministry Teacher and Event Coordinator. She serves as Organist and Secretary plus teaches aclass at the Rescue Mission/Ladies Division.
